Well new your going to pay a little but if you'll settle for used I would join one or two of the many archery forums and search their classified ads. I joined this one which has both information and classified ads. Just be careful buying archery equipment with a cheap price tag, just cause it's cheap doesn't mean it was worth it to save a few bucks.

As a retail sales person...look for closeouts and after season specials and event sales for the best deals...I purchased my bow through Bass Pro at about a 40% price reduction from the normal cost. When purchasing a bow you need to buy one that fits your size too. (draw length is very important as is tuning to your body size and adjustments) I recommend using a dealer who specialize in archery, some bow techs are allot better than others.

Look for used equipment. Archery is one of those things where people will buy good equipment, use it a few times, then let it sit unused.

Check out online buy-and-sell sites, and check out www.craigslist.com for your area.
