Yes! Of course you can fall in love at 17. I'm almost 18 and I've been with my fiancee for almost 2 years as a couple and for as 8 as best friends. I can't recall anything in the bible or any other book that gives love a specific age. You can't help who you love you arn't suppose too. You don't get to pick the age at which you find that person either.

It's not that people think that you're too young to fall in love.
It's that you're too young to fall in love and understand the difference between love, lust, and infatuation. At 17 you KNOW what love is because you feel it, but you haven't lived enough to understand what EXACTLY you're feeling.
When teens 17-20 get married, I cringe on the inside. From 12-25 you're changing so much. At 17 were the same person you were when you were 15? Of course not! As long as you don't get ahead of yourself and start planning your wedding, you can fall in love at 17.

well...you can certainly fall in love at 17 and at any age, but sorry to say but it won't be the mature kind of love that you have for someone that you have gone through hard times with, had babies with, lived with and travelled with. People can fall in love at 17 and marry their sweethearts and stay with them forever though, but it's rare these days, because people think they can get and that they deserve so much more excitement in their lives. Also people change the most in their 20's. The person you loved at 17 might be someone totally different at 30.

If you fall in love when you are 17 and fall out of love at 19, then consider love as an "action", not an emotion. The next time you fall in love, you will know that it is a lot of work.

You can, yes, but I would bet that the love you feel at 17 will not be of the depth and quality of the love you might feel at 30, simply because at 17 you only have a fraction of the life experience you have at 30. That's not to say that your 17-year-old love won't also be your same love 13 years later, but I bet when you're 30, you'll look back to what you felt at 17, and realize that what you feel now is different. Maybe not better, maybe not worse, but certainly not the same, either. I look back at what I thought was love at 17, and only now that I'm older can I see that maybe it wasn't really, at least by my current standards. But back then it was as real to me as anything!

Of course you can love at 17... Can you plan to be with that person forever? That is completely different. A 17 year old doesn't have many of the life experiences that affect you throughout late teens and early adulthood, usually changing little bits here and there of who we are- not for better or worse, but changed none the less.

Yes you can love at 17..... I was in love w/ a guy when I was 16 and stayed w/ him for 4yrs..... but now where just friends but one thing you have to remember the difference in being in love and just lusting over someone. it's very real when people mix up being in love and lusting because they seem like the same feelings. but there not just take your time don't be in a rush to fall in love and live your life as a teenager.

You can believe that you have fallen at 17 but most people just think that its puppy love and that you are too young to have thought it all through

At seventeen we fell in love
High school sweethearts,
love was so brand new
We took the vows of man and wife
Forever, for life
I remember how we made our way
A little patience, the time we pray
Can't imagine that this love is through
Feelin' the pain, girl when you lose
Oh it's too hot, too hot, lady
Gotta run for shelter
Gotta run for shade
It's too hot, too hot, lady
We gotta cool this anger
What a mess we made
So long ago you were my love
Oh my love

Sure I think so. I had a boyfriend all through highschool that I was definately madly in love with at 17. It's easy to confuse lust and love when your younger though so you have to be careful.
