Possessed or possessive. If I remember right, didn't Son of Sam's dog tell him to go around killing people. Just a thought!

No, a dog cannot become posessed. Yes, I think you are being a little paranoid. It's not crazy at all. It's normal behavior. She is a very loyal dog, that is attached to her owner. There's nothing wrong with that. I'm sure alot of people have dogs that follow them around everywhere. They are just devoted dogs. I own five chihuahuas, and they all make sure they are where I am.

no, not possessed. Sounds like she has been with her owner for awhile and is very loyal. My dog walks around me all the time also, she is just very friendly and likes to go places, loves the car rides. Are you jealous of the way your man behaves around his pet? If he treats the animal very well, then you should be happy about that, it says alot about the man in your life. He's had the dog 5 years, to that dog, your man is the alpha personality in the house and that dog will do anything possible to do things to receive praise from your guy.

I do not think it is a problem that she follow him around. The fact that she glares at you would be the problem. I think the owner should put her in her place. She is loyal, but if he has welcomed you into the home (den), then she needs to back off and allow that. Once given the signal that everything is OK, her job is done. She needs to obey the alpha, if he is allowing her to intimidate you, then he is rewarding her behavior with acceptance.

If I read that right it sounds like the dog is being possesive of its owner. I have that problem too, don't get too close to me or my doberman places herself between me and the other person. I don;t really mind it. its a natural thing for them to protect their leader. You're not being paranoid but remember she will pick up on your feelings, so its prolly best to play with her a little so she'll get over her suspicion of you.

i 've had a male cockapoo for 6 mo. and he does the same thing. a vet told me that some breeds are very protective of their owner and this is a protective thing. he is not that way with my husband but he spends alot more time with me.it supposively is more common with a male dog and female owner or vise versa. also i' if i'm home, i'm the only one he will go with to potty.

Possesed? Or overly posessive?

If it is possesed, seek a priest.

Over possesive, seek a dog behavior specialist.
