Are you kidding? A 90-year old patient with diarrhea will of course be weak! Get to the doctor, now! This is probably life-threatening. If you have no means of transportation, then call 9-1-1. This qualifies as a medical emergency.

Have you tried loperamide? Also, Is he home on hospice. I find it hard toi believe that you would not have already have taken him in unless he were. If that is the case, what other meds is he on? What is his illness? Sorry, but your question is too vague to really give an answer. Too many variable without more info. If he is nearth death, then giving him a ton of liquids, dehydrated or not, is not advised. When people are near death, they tell you to only give them liquids when they ask because their kidneys are shutting down. This means they will start swelling up and if they cannot eliminate it, they end up in pain. But, you didn't say he was dying and on hospice---So, do NOT listen to this if he isn't.

The only thing you can do is keep offering liquids. I wouldnt worry about any solid food right now. Just make sure he is getting plenty of liquids. Keep a watch out for dehydration. Not urinating would be one symptom, another would be cracked lips, no tears, running a fevor. And you really have to watch out for dehydration in the elderly, because if they dehydrate, it is hard to get a vein to give them fluids interveinously. So why dont you just put a call into his/her doctor just to be on the safe side. Good luck hon.

definite why no longer we've a black and female working now you want to discriminate against age. actually i could quite vote for a ninety year previous then a black or female . Ive been around all of them . The blacks did no longer do something yet scouse borrow from me and phone me racist if i attempted to get my stuff decrease back the female did no longer do something yet use me and if i've got been given mad at them for applying me they could start up screaming abuse however the previous guy did no longer do something yet help me . Its in basic terms the blacks and female's fault that they have got no admire from white adult males . in the event that they could act like good people then they could be dealt with that way

The only sensible thing you can do besides the doctor is to ensure that the patient has a constant regimen of high-electrolyte fluids. Dehydration is your greatest danger in this situation...

I don't understand why you come HERE to ask these questions. You have to call the doctor if the patient has severe diarrhea. They get dehydrated quickly. Or call 911.

1. Give him lemon juice in warm water 3 to 4 times day.
2. Take Mebarid capsules of Phyto Pharma 1-0-1 till he recovers.
3.After he recovers, give him Noni herbal fruit juice twice a day with water for 3 to 4 months. It will give him energy and correct his digestive system.

Call his doctor or nurse.
How is he your patient? Or are you a relative?
Please don't tell me you're a nurse.
