Freedom is actually "the absence of or release from ties, obligations, etc. " , so, not in the way you were thinking, no. But, freedom is not a theory. In God, ALL things are possible. God gives freedom to those who ask for it. But by freedom He means like... freedom to be in Him, spiritual freedom. The amount of freedom found in God can far surpass that of the world.

True. Freedom is relative. We are restrained by The Law. By Custom. By Religious Belief, and by Society's Norms. But we are Free none the less, because we can choose, Good or Evil. Right or Wrong. Light or Darkness.

Freedom must be defined. And what exactly to what does it apply. Our Constitution and I think the bill of rights is so unique in the world its precious. But the schools have mostly stopped teaching it to students. So you grow up not knowing what freedom for an AMERICAN is. very sad and frightening.

Freedom, as men understand it, is a myth. You are only free in God, because God sets the boundaries for you. There is no freedom in sin, that is in doing whatever you want to do. Every sin has its consequences. When you live a sin free life, then you are free of bondage.

Governments, no matter how free the society, place restrictions on our activities, so we are really not free. Paying taxes also keeps us from being free because in a sense, we are all working for the state.
