We should never have undertaken the war, particularly without UN cooperation. We have lost far troo many lives already. We have committed war crimes. We have lost prestige. The effort has cost us far more than we thought imagineable, And we still have a tremendous distance to go to achieve our goals.

If we stay, we will lose more American and Iraqi lives. We may never achieve our goals. And the cost of occupation will skyrocket.

If we leave, we will be deserting the Iraqis. Iraq will likely become a bigger mess than it already is. Who knows how many Iraqis will perish or how much damage Al Qaida will accomplish as a result.

The goal of invasion Iraq was to eliminate the weapon of mass destruction and stop Saddam threats to other countries. The American discovered that thre were no WMD and Saddam didn't represent any threat, then he was killed. That means Bush goals were achieved even before illegal invasion(without UN cooperation and approval). Therefore the only wise solution is to withdraw from Iraq and leave Iraqis alone to solve their own problems and to protect US troops from more casualties.

The worse thing we could do is attempt to stay there until we win. Whatever win means in this regard.

Inorder to WIN this war it will require a much larger standing army than we currently have due to the logistical issues. To win will require killing a number of innocents along with the enemy, we're not ready or capable of doing that.

We need to attempt to secure baghdad, which we will not accomplish, and once baghdad is declared secured and handed over to Iraqi troops, we have a huge televised victory celebration, declare our mission as successful and slowly begin the pull out to Kuwait.
We continue to provide the Iraqi army air support until they all surrender to the insurgents are run away.

We should stay and finish the job or else we will be fighting them on our soil. Yes lives will be lost..tragedy of war..deal with it. If we leave the extremists will bring the fight to us. We have not committed any war crimes, of this you have no idea what you are talking about and it is a very brazen accusation.

The only way is to stay until we win. Will there be more loss of life? Yes. Will it cost money? Yes. But the end result will be a more stable region. This will allow us to better defeat the terrorists in the region.

With out UN co-operation? Just exactly what has the UN ever done except make problems? THEY are the reason Stormin' Norman didn't get to invade Iraq in the 1st gulf war. If not for the UN whimps, this thing would have been all over back in '92 for crying out loud!

It is an unenviable position to be in. I think we're screwed no matter what direction is taken.
