Get a medium size ball to start with. The big ones have to much surface area to make it a real work out and the small ones are a killer. Mkae sure it's properly inflated not to soft or you'll mess up your back and of course not to hard or you'll end up on the floor.
Now sit on the ball with your legs bent at the knees make sure your hips and legs are on the same plane. Roll your feet forward of the ball a little bit so you lower back is on the ball. You can do basic crunches you can also do then to one side for your obliques. you can do then with one leg up to work you core. Or crunch while alternating knees. Lay on the ball and put your hands up in front of you while alternating from side to side cross your hands one over the other like your pulling yourself with a rope. Now you can lay on the ball with your bellyy with your feet on the floor behind you put your hands behind your head and do reverse crunches and again you can alternate to side to side. Another good one the worls you rbut to is to lay forward on the ball with you hands on the floor in front of you abd your legs on the ground for support lift your legs up parrell to the ball son't forget to squeeze your tooshie on the lift and slowly lower.

For your core muscles you can balance on the ball with your knees and try to keep from falling off by using your core muscles. I sugest doing this one next to wall so you have something to hold on to.
For you lower abs lay on the floor flat on your back, exted your legs straight up and place the ball in between them. Now slowly lower the ball. return it back to the top. Remove it with your hands and extend your arms back behind you. Place the ball back in between your legs and repeat.

Okay a few more. For your butt.

Lay flat on your back gently place the heels of your feet on the ball (legs straight) lift your hiney up and slowly roll the ball in (bent your kness) roll out alternate legs.
I can go on forever. Push ups leg lifts sideways squats. If you want more info email me.

They're all about the same. Personally, I use the exercise ball at my gym just for my abs. Kind of hard to explain using words and not being able to show you so I'll try my best. You sit on the edge without falling off the ball with your feet planted flat on the ground. Lean back and start doing sit ups. There's also a variation where you can put your feet on the side of a wall too. These help you with balance in your core as well as your abs.

My ex used 'ben-wa balls.' You may want to try those. Just put them in and give them a good squeeze throughout the day.

Wait this was a serious answer. If you perform the exercises throughout the day it is beneficial and plus you get a little excitement on the side..

When I use to exercise last year I used an exercise ball in my workout. I think all of the exercise balls will work the same. It really worked for me, it kept my abs toned, and it will also work good for your legs and butt. I'm a clumsy person, and it helped me because you have to learn to keep yourself balanced while exercising on it. It comes with instructions on alot of different exercises you can do. I hope it works for you, good luck!!!
