I use Proactive solutions skin care for more than 2 years and very pleased with results.
Even if you think it cost too much it last long.
Moisturizer is scentless and contains SPF 15. Daily Oil control will help you with oily areas on your face and also helps your make up to stay on during the day.
If during the day you see an access of oil on your skin because its hot or any other reason don't rub your face. Use a tissue or a toilet paper and pat it.
And the repairing lotion is gentle enough and don't dry your skin too much like other stuff I use to try.
I hope this will help. Good luck

Accutane is really a wonder drug for acne, but it is dangerous and not everyone can take it. It is especially dangerous for women because of the birth defects, can cause depression, nightblindness, and always causes extremely dry skin. After taking this med for 6 months, you can literally have the worse acne, and then you face will be smooth. On many people the acne does not come back ever. If you decide to take this med, please research it fully before ever placing the pill in your mouth.
Another thing I have recently found that worked better than I expected was Mary Kay products called Velocity. I used the cleanser and oil drying moisturizer (I have never been able to use one and was surprised at the results).
Antibiotics help some people, like doxycycline and minocycline. There is also a cream for psoriasis that some dermatologists use called Tazorac. After you use it for a long time, it eventually clears up everything for some people. It does not work for everyone.

You don't say how bad your acne is. If it's mild, I'd try some overthecounter stuff. If you have bad acne and are at your wit's end after trying everything, there is only one treatment that will work. I had acne for years and everytime I went to the dermatologist they gave me something else, none of which did anything. Finally, my derm. told me that there was actually something else he knew would clear it up for sure, it's just that because it's so strong doctors don't like to give it to you as a first option, but that because I'd been taking these other meds that hadn't worked, he would prescribe it for me. (If only he'd given it to me in the first place!) Now bear in mind, this is a last resort but it DOES WORK. It's a heavy regulated drug and if you take it, you are required by law to be on birth control (if you're a female) simultaneously while taking this drug due to very likely birth defects should you get pregnant. Also, you're only allowed to be on it like twice in your lifetime or something like that just because it's so harsh on your system. I took it and IMMEDIATELY my acne cleared up. I was shocked. But in addition, my skin all over my body became extremely dry; my legs cramped now and then; I had tons of dandruff, my lips were so chapped they bled. So if you're on it, you have to slather lotion on your body and something on your lips A LOT and use a dandruff shampoo frequently because it really dries you out. It also makes you feel a little weak and some leg cramps once in a while. Anyway, it cleared up =immediately= and never came back; that was 10 years ago and my skin has looked flawless ever since. The name of the drug is Accutane. Most likely your doctor won't suggest it to you as a first course of treatment. I don't know how severe your acne is, but every time I see someone with acne I wish I could tell them about this product. So if your acne is not severe, I recommend anything overthecounter; if it is severe, nothing will work for you except Accutane. If you go this route, make sure you ask your doctor specifically for this product by name and get all the info from them about it. If you didn't want to go this route, the only other thing I'd recommend - this is for a mild case of acne only- is to go to a health food store (independent, not GNC) and get an herbal skin cleansing tea and drink it - there are teas for your skin, and teas for combo skin/hair/nails - either one, just ask them at the store. I drink this now and then anyway and it gives me a glowing complexion. Good luck. :)
