Add a little Olive oil to the shampoo (1/10th of your shampoo bottle) and quite a significant amount to the conditioner (1/3 of your conditioner)... It is bound to make your hair neat, soft and shiny

I have same problem, I used to have bushy thick hair had it layered, thinning out, or used alot of conditioner, nothing works until i grew my hair long without having it cut, grew out the layers, and started using straightening tongs Morphy Richards( called I create) expensive but works wonders, always use serum, my hair is now below shoulder length and feel thin and straight or flick back which looks good on a night out, you should stop having layered or thinning out, cos that can make it worse!! good luck!!

I have exactly the same problem! I have wild, bushy, frizzy hair. I absolutely hate it! I use John Freida Frizz Ease that works really well for me. Especially the step three serum. After washing your hair, dry it a little bit (it says use on soaking hair but I don't) and put about 4 pumps worth in your hair. Then use the step 4 mousse and spread it evenly. I find these work really well and give me nice curls. Sometimes I straighten it and I use GHD's. They are incredible! I get super sleek hair that is dead straight and it makes my hair really shiny and silky. I have the worst hair imaginable so if it works for me-it works for everyone!

I had the exact same problem, until I came across Aussie 3 minute miracle frizz remedy. I leave it on my hair for around 1-2 hours. After rinsing, I then use extra strength serum, dry it with a hairdryer, and then straighten with my GHD's. I now have really silky and thin straight as a bean pole hair!! FANTASTIC

Why do you want thin hair? I have fine hair, and I would kill for it to be thicker! :)

Using a straightener all the time will fry your hair and make it dry and frizzy. Try a good deep conditioning treatment, and get a tourmaline hair dryer. They are much less damaging than regular dryers. I just got a Revlon one for only $30 and it makes my hair so much softer than my old dryer. I also use a ceramic plated round brush when blow drying.

I'm assuming your hair is curly...talk to a stylist about how you can wear it curly and give it a rest from heat styling. Good luck!

Grow it long, this will weight it down and it will not appear as thick. Have you tried getting it chemically straightened? I don't know if you are black or white, but if you are white have you tried going to a hair dressers aimed at black women? They have some really powerful treatments for bushy hair.

i am a hair dresser and there is no way of making it thin permanently i have shoulder length thick and wavy hair it is a real pain i use Avon sleek and straight shampoo and conditioner and a hair mask ones a week but to keep it in toe i have to use a razor on it every 3 weeks. i also wash it and blow dry it section by section then striation it again section by section but this has to be done every morning or it is a total mess

i have really thick hair and i 've got it layered and thinned. the best straighteners I've used are ghd's. they are a bit expensive but are worth the money. i also use l'oreal hot straight heat activated straightening cream, it protects your hair from heat damage and makes it easier to straighten

ok this sounds strange but i have the same problem, and this is the only thing that works... apply maple syrup to ur hair and apply quite alot to cover the hair, leave it 10minutes then wash ur hair twice and condition once, then straighten ur hair slowly layer by layer and it will appear poker straight and much thinner.
