there are fibromyalgia self helpgroups about here (n/i) i think the best way to start your own may be with 360 groups as you are already familiar with yahoo if you get a group going in you own area however you can go for charity status and get helpwith info sheets and other fundings through the national lottery.but in this way you would need dedicated people to act as chairman ,treasurer, secretary and the likes.

I have heard a theory. An imbalance of serotonin and noradrenaline can cause, amongst other things, depression. Dependent on the nature of the imbalance some people get significant 'somatic' symptoms of depression, those being non-specific aches and pains, trouble sleeping etc.
The theory I heard was that if the imbalance causes depression with or without pain, could that imbalance possibly cause pain WITHOUT the depression?
It is a sound theory to me, and I know that some pharma companies have trials running for their SNRI anti-depressives to see if they work in fybromyalgia. The doctor I heard talking about it had seen some very successful results using these drugs.
