They already are. The jail we have at Guantanamo Bay has a lot of prisoners, the majority of whom have never been charged with anything.

We had Japanese Internment Camps because right after the bombing of Pearl Harbor they thought the Japanese may have been spies working for the enemy. Remember, this was 1941 and America had not ever been attacked before. Interned Japanese Americans were mostly from the west coast. Hopefully through your teacher, my teaching and any other teacher teaching about this history, enough will realize we learn from our history and the mistakes made. It was proved that none of the interned were guilty of spying etc. and the families were later compensated for the mistake. I will be surprised if it happens again.

Yes. They are based on fear. Wherever you have fear spread throughout a people by the media and government, you will have a call by the public for internment camps. There should be a federal law against them. No American citizen should ever be placed in a camp because of his race, ethnic background, his political beliefs or religious affiliation. To have such camps is just plain Un-American.

Doubtfully, if they did, it would need an executive decision backed by Congress. But people would not stand for it now. The Japanese camps were just racist. The people were afraid that Japanese would sabotage and join with the Empire if the Empire attacked the West Coast. Nothing like that could happen again.

Gosh I hope not! There would be hell to pay from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). I feel, (and this is because I worked for the Gov't and was in the military for years), that we are turning into one GIANT INTERNMENT camp. We are living in a society with so many restrictions and rules that it is like a police state. Free? I think not.

Yes they can and this time they will be for the American people themselves.
In fact, there are camps already built in the US with Halliburton having been awarded an extremely lucrative contract by the US government to build more.
Why?
It makes me wonder if we are coming to that time when we will be asked to pledge allegiance to another religion that has oil behind it and whose favored method of execution is beheading?

Absolutely. Look at the panic of 9/11 - when people were assaulting middle easterns just because. ANYTHING is possible - especially when you have idiots running the show!!

Guantanamo Bay is not a POW camp.
The Border states will start takin matters into their own hands in addressing illegals as will other states.

It has there have been a few people arrested and sent to Gitmo wrongly. Not saying all dont deserve to be there but there have been a few who shouldn't have.
