The question you should be asking is WHY are you having these nose bleeds. You are losing blood which is never a good idea. Simply, you might have some little veins or capillaries in your nose that because of dry weather, have dried out and are quite fragile...to the point of bleeding. I used to use a little vaseline up each nostril for my kids when we were closed in the warm dry house all winter. If that doesn't help see and Ear/Nose/Throat specialist. On the more serious side, persistent and frequent nose bleeds can be a sign of hypertension...sometimes the only symptom you have. Get your blood pressure checked and by all means see your doctior.

Is it cold and dry where you live? I used to get bloody noses like yours when I lived in Colorado... especially during the winter when the air was heated and more dry on my nose. You should ask your doctor if they keep happening, but I think that it's pretty normal. Nowadays, I only get them for shorter periods of time when it is really dry or when my allergies make me blow my nose a lot.

Perhaps not but I'd want the piece of mind to know exactly whats causing it and see a doctor about it , you should have it checked out. I hope it's nothing serious

sounds like cold dry air problems....try running a vaporizor or humidifier. May solve your problem. My husband and my boys have the same problem in the winter months. Good luck!

Yes...please see your doctor...he will likely prescribe some nose drops (after exams) and this will cure you.
