Sounds like what happened to me. I was 19 when I met my guy. He said he was 28. Turned out he was really 35. I lost it when he finally told me the truth, and was mad at him for a long time (we even broke up).
Now, 7 years later, I'm married to him! Lol.
It really depends on the two people involved. You are 18 so he should give you time to grow up a little before settling down. If he can't respect what you want, then he's not worth it. Give it time and take it slow!

Now that is something I'd like to see a 33 yr old man that looks close to your age. If you want it to end then end it just tell him the truth that your not ready to settle down if he has the mentality of a 33yr old man he'll understand. I wont give my opinions of this manner other then its ****** gross that a man that age would date such a young girl now give me the thumbs down I don't care

I'm 18 too and I think that his age is a real problem... He's quite old and you should analyze the situation. What does he want? Does he want a commitment or does he want something else? Try to find out from him his real intentions. If your lover really cares about you, I think age shouldn't be a problem. Take care.

If he lied to you about his age, who's to say he hasn't lied about something else? He's broken your trust. Just say that it's far too much of an age difference for you, and you both seem to want different things at this point and time. Don't stay in this realtionship!

If he lied to you abotu his age, Id have to worry what else he lied about that would really matter. I also would definately not worry abotu the letting down be easy. Honesty is #1 in any relationship.

If he loves you, he'll understand that you still have so much to do in your life than settling down...Be honest and say what you feel in a nice way! :) He may even wait for you :)

wow. huney, you just have to tell him, "first of all, you lied to me and that is not how i want to start of a relationship. if you didnt see anything wrong with your age and mine you wouldnt have lied in the first place. Second of all, I am not ready to settle down. I still have my prime years left to date and experience life. It wouldnt be fair to you or me to stiffle that." good luck

Tell him that he began your relationship with a lie, and that you are at two different parts in your life. Then, stick to your guns. You're going to miss him but do whats best for you.

paul simon listed 50 ways to leave your lover:
50 Ways To Leave Your Lover Lyrics
"The problem is all inside your head", she said to me
The answer is easy if you take it logically
I'd like to help you in your struggle to be free
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover
She said it's really not my habit to intrude
Furthermore, I hope my meaning won't be lost or misconstrued
But I'll repeat myself at the risk of being crude
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover
You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free
Ooo slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just listen to me
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free
She said it grieves me so to see you in such pain
I wish there was something I could do to make you smile again
I said I appreciate that and would you please explain
About the fifty ways
She said why don't we both just sleep on it tonight
And I believe in the morning you'll begin to see the light
And then she kissed me and I realized she probably was right
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover
You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free
Slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just listen to me
Hop on the bus, Gus

And get yourself free

The fact that he lied to you should make it easy to cut him loose.
