I have read a lot of judgemental questions today on yahoo answers. Telling people that if they have tattooes they are going to hell or if they do anything wrong. Jesus died for us because we are not perfect. Our flesh is sin therefore we sin from birth with our thoughts and actions.

What right do you have to speak for Christians when you are not one. I am a Christian and I don't want to kill anyone. I don't believe in abortion or the death penality. I don't believe a man or women has the right to take another person's life.

Jeus died so our sins could be washed away. If you are a born again Christian then all you have to do is ask forgiveness when you screw up. People, including some Christians point the finger at others too quickly. (All are not like that) We are not suppose to judge but we do because we are human. I can relate to more people than most and I try to accept everyone just the way they are whether I agree with everything they do or not. I am a christian with two tattoos and there is no doubt in my mind that I am still going to heaven.

People are still caught up in if we are good enouph or go by the rules then we go to heaven. But that is works & not faith. Faith without works is dead, but the work required is to confess Jesus Christ Lordship and realize that He shed His own blood for our redemption. He paid the price for our everlasting life. He raised from the dead a new body so we also will resurrect with everlasting body.

It is free and what Jesus did on the cross is sufficient payment. When Jesus was on the cross He said, "It is finished.". The debt was paid.

With out the shedding of innocent blood there is no remission of sins.

No one has the right to judge someone elses salvation. Sin was taken care of. Where we get into trouble as Christians is when we hang onto sin or practice it.

(Philippians 2:12) Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

We all need to work on what God has given to us freely

Suspendor got it right. The answer is in a lot of places, but the verses in John are good. I'll join you in praying for the people who answered you so disrespectfully.

Your basic premise is false. Jesus was a man who died about 2000 years ago. Was not the "son" of god, as god is imaginary. Sins are a dangerous concept, as it gives you the right to judge others without any common basis. This is admitted in your questions, when you note that some people think tatoos are a sin.

The reality is, there is no heaven, hell, god, holy spirit, or holy trinity. No one has ever risen from the dead. Adam and Eve did not exists, there was no garden of eden, no great flood, and no one has EVER talked to god.

Religion is a total waste of time, focusing on things that don't exist that lead to devastating decisions, like running planes into buildings.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

If you really want to know.

The short answer is found in the Holy Bilbe John 3:16

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Because no one else is able to make retribution for our sins or their eternal effect on Creation, especially not ourselves. Jesus' sacrifice was necessary b/c His sacrifice stands forever and is pleasing before God the Father.

Jesus, (if he existed) died because he ruffled the feathers of the establishment, and because he made political enemies.

If Christians had their way today, they would crucify some of the more outspoken atheists out there for the same reasons.
