I not being a raceist but I live in lincoln Neb. I just recently moved here from Florida to take an I.T position and .Like I said I.M not being racist and I am happilly married by the way .But I can't help but notice the incredible large number of women here dating black men.It seems every were I go in this town you see women with with black men and to be honest .I feel kind of strange being in public with my wife .These black guys are always eyeing my wife.And you know even though I not racist it does bother when I see a very pretty youngl white women with an ugly black man who doesnt even know how to were his hat with out putting it on sideways.And dresses like he is some type of a gang member. What is wrong with this picture.I just can't believe my eye's It makes me sick.And yes I am not a raceist but know scum when I see it.

You repeat that you're not a racist so many times almost like you're trying to convince yourself you're not one. Funny thing is, your "question" which by the way sounds more like a racist observation, in fact is completely racist. What a woman wants is her business. So would it not bother you if a white woman was dating some redneck, stinking white man with no manners because he's of the same color? None of your observations are rational, they are completely blinded by your rather obvious racism. You really need to really read into what you wrote. You call the black man "ugly" and you comment on them dressing like a gang member. That is all personal and stupid generalizations. Has it ever crossed your mind that these white women actually find what you find so repulsive, attractive? If anything, you should be happy that our society has come so far from the lynching and sun-down towns era. And by the way if you're wondering, I'm not a black man standing up for my black brothers. You'll be surprised how much we have in common when it comes to our skin color. And I'm so ashamed that people like you still exist. You're not just racist but you're also sexist. I am a white woman and I have been in a relationship with a black man for 10 years. I can assure you that he is not scum. He is well dressed, a great father and husband. You can say that you are not a racist, but you sure sound like one. You may want to concentrate on your own marriage and learn some tolerance. You may be a happier person for it.

This is something that has been going on for quite awhile now...but I have to take into account where you are from..Nebraska is a bit more "white" than California, where I am from...I've seen it so many times I don't even think anything of it or even notice anymore, and frankly I don't care...I'm a white girl but in truth I've never found myself with a black guy...just by chance that way...although I tend to be most attracted to Johnny Depp types, darker-skinned white guys or sometimes Latin guys. But in this day and age, there's a lot of interracial dating, after all, it is 2007 now...and there's a lot of white men with black women, Latin men with Asian women, Asian and Latino men with Black women, Latinas and Asian girls with black men, white women and Latin men, etc. So, what I'm saying is it's not just a "Black men/white women thing" a lot of people are dating and marrying interracially, and there's nothing wrong with it, as long as they love each other. In fact, if you ever watch hiphop videos, it will kinda make you wonder if black men even know white women exist, because in these videos, the ones by black male rappers, there's never a white woman/girl in the video, but many black girls, and every other girl except for a white girl (Latin, Indian, etc.). In hiphop videos, it is the darker, ethnic girls that are most desireable. But, to answer your question, it is true that the most common interracial couple seems to be still a black man and a white woman, and the reasons for this vary from person to person and couple to couple. As for the young white women, since I fall into this category I'll try to explain, they are maybe with "ghetto" thuggish-type black guys because they are fascinated by hiphop culture, since it is the most popular music among young people today ( I would know). But to be honest with you, Nebraska is a little bit behind California in terms of trends, because in California this has been common since, like, the '70s, as well as in other urban areas, like NYC, Washington, etc. I mean, I know Nebraska is urban in some areas, but it is the midwest.

My husband is black and I am white. What attracted me to him? To be honest maybe I was attracted to the skin color and what I heard when I was meeting guys. But once I met my husband and I was attracted to his personality as well. He treated me well and we had alot of fun and talked alot while we were dating. We really got to know each other and we became each other's best friend. We have been together for almost five years now and I love him more each day!

i dated a black guy. not the street trash you are talking about though. As far as the fact of them being black, there is something about a strong black man that is so attractive, very alpha male. But as far as wanna be thugs with droopy pants, that has nothing to do w/their color. white boys do it too. and why women are attracted to them? the same reason all the stupid girls like the "bad boys". they are attracted to the "hard" attitude, but then wanna wine when they dont give thier women any respect. what im sayin is, it has nothing to do w/thier color, it's just thier style, and the girls that are attracted to them, you wouldnt want anyway, cuz they are trashy just like them.

Dude.. let the girl choose. When races mix.. we as humans get stronger and makes it less likely for viruses and illness to completely decimate the human population. This is because of the inherent benefits of genetic variability. When humans inbreed in the remote parts of Tennessee, notice the increase in mortality rates and incidences of mental retardation in that population. Mixed race people are stronger and heartier like the genetic hybrids of plants that are resistant to insects and drought.
