I'm suffering from a very bad case of food poisoning. When I threw up last night, it was different than usual, if there is a "usual". It was extremely forceful and acidic, to the point that the acid has burned my tongue, throat, and uvula. Twelve hours later, my uvula is hanging down to the point where it is sitting on the back of my tongue and I gag each time it hits my tonsils. I'm looking for advice. I have no health insurance, so if I go to the doc, it could be extremely expensive. Should I give it a couple days and see if it shrinks back?
