the governor of idaho has decided to give hunters the green light to kill off 80% of the wild wolf population in idaho. this is an outrage. this was done to primarily appease hunters who fear they will not have enough elk and such to shoot at in the hunting season. i think these hunters should get a new hobby and not wreck the fragile balance of nature. the wolf population in these western states is just starting to reach healthier levels after decades (if not centuries) of shameless mass slaughter by the hands of man to the point of near extinction. obviously the governor and his merry band of hunters want to bring us back into the 19thc mentality of eradicating anything that ruins their fun without any thought of the consequences. there is such a thing as balance in this world. humans have wrecked just about everything we touch, as little of us respect the importance of balance. i feel for the little wolf cubs who will be slaughtered...

Hey, I found a website which is up-to-date on the issue. Here's the link:
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/664280276?z00m=100874&z00m=100874 It is amazing that we actually HAVE to fight for life versus senseless slaughter for fun, not even out of survival. What is this world becoming? Well, as God and Karma would have it, those guys and their kids will get it all back. I believe in Nature's ability to avenge itself. Too bad it will be too late...

The fragile balance of nature of which you so cavalierly speak is exactly the problem. Do a little research and you will discover that the introduction of gray wolves, a non-native species into Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Canada was an impulsive knee-jerk reaction by people or groups who have no clue about the REAL outdoors. The “re-introduction” has upset the balance of nature with other wildlife as managed by actual wildlife agencies.

I know you think its all because of hunting. But I live where there is always posibilities of wolves and its a scary thought to think of wolves living where I do. But go to the State of Idaho website I'm sure you can find out exactly who to contact. Just know he probably hunts too... Its Idaho there are a lot of hunters and people concerned about having livestock being attacked by wolves.
