I think Toyota and Honda are way better than Mitsubishi. In my opinion, "upgraded" cars look ugly

Are you serious.
Do yourself a favor and go to the library or your local bookstore and pick up the Consumer Reports New Car Buying Guide.
Mitsubishi reliability is not even as good as Hyundai. It's horrible. Even the mighty $30k+ Lancer Evos start rusting after two years.
That company is a mismanaged disaster. The only good car they ever had other than the Lancer EVO was the AWD turbo Eclipse and they killed it to make an overweight front-wheel drive V6 poseur car.
Steer CLEAR of Mitsubishi. Terrible quality. Terrible reliability and Terrible resale value. They make cars that look nice, that's about it.
Toyota and Honda are equal in quality and reliability. Honda's tend to be a bit more fun to drive when you average it all out, especially among the cheaper models.
I recommend looking at a Civic Si sedan and cross shop it with the Corolla XRS.

Toyota. I had a Camry with almost 300,000 miles on it. After college we sold it and I saw it around town for several more years.
The one we have now has 170,000 miles on it and nothing ever goes wrong with it. It is an Avalon and it has a lot of power...gets up and going really, really fast. Zero - 60 in several seconds.
My parents have owned Hondas and they are good, too. We have just had a lot more positive experiences with Toyotas.

Do not get a Mitsubishi they suck royally, Honda and Toyota will last 4ever if you take care of them. I have a honda with close to 200,000 miles and its still running. I have a friend that has a toyota camry with 310,000 miles on it and he still drives it every day, it has the original engine. You can't kill a Toyota.

Well, I have a '93 3000gt and LOVE it, but I have had 5 cars and all have had jap engines. I would go with Toyota I had a 87 Camry and it ran great. They are very reliable and will last a long time if you do regular scheduled maintaince.
