First litters are often small. One is unusual, but it happens.

Please get her fixed ASAP. There are SOOOOO many homeless cats & kittens out there.

its normal in some purebreds simply because they have been so inbred there are problems...
sometimes a younger cat will "absorb" some fetus's becuase they are simply not ready

really its best because if you think of it... every year 2 million cats and kittens (60% kittens) are euthanized becuase of overpopulation... every kitten your cat has takes a home from another kitten so contributes to the problem

I hope you had her spayed.. so you dont continue to create this sadness

we had a cat that had only one kitten in her second litter ( lived on a farm, but was one of our house cats) I believe the reason she only had one was because it was a very big kitten.

A bit unusual, but it happens. You must be grateful, though, that you don't have half a dozen little babies that you will have to find homes for in the future.

Have fun with your new baby!

yes, they can have any number. But the chances of 2 or more are greater. Next time she may have more.

I wouldn't worry unless she acts sick! My cat only had one but it was stillborn.

She was probably too young, or her health was not the greatest. Hope she is SPAYED now.
