To any doctors or whatever. Ok my brother is doing the dumbest stuff by breaking the law. He is 17 and my mom says "Oh its his medecine thats driving him up the wall." It gets so annoying because thats her excuse for everything he does that is wrong. So I need to know, is it his medecine. He takes Stratera.

Studies have shown that a small number of people (especially children/teenagers) who take atomoxetine "Strattera" for attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) may experience worsening of their condition, other mental/mood symptoms, or suicidal thoughts/attempts. Therefore, it is very important to talk with the doctor about the risks and benefits of this medication (especially for children/teenagers). Or he could be using it as a excuse because he knows if he blames it on his disorder he wont have to be accountable for what he does with you or your Mom. You Mom needs to open her eyes and investagate whats going on because it may be the medication or it may be something totally diffrent. Go to this link and research some your self, I hope its helps and good luck.

Do you mean he breaking the law by doing dumb stuff? Call his the doctor that is prescribing the meds and inform them. Because if HIPPA, they may not be able to give you information but you can give them this info. These are things that they need to know, because this is a change in his behavior. Stratera is supposed to calm someone with ADHD, not make him more hyper which is another concern. They dosage could be either too much or not enough. Was he like this before the meds, if not then there is something wrong and needs to be checked. If your mom won't call the doctor, then you can. But like I said they may not let you in the exam room, but getting him there is half the battle. Good luck.

COULD it be his medicine? Sure, i guess it could be.

More than likely he is a 17 year old whose mother has always made excuses for him and feels he doesn't have to take any resposibility for his actions.
