What do you think the consequences of pulling the military out of Iraq will be? The media is on a trip to bring us home, but have yet to give any rationalization to what the consequences might be. Will we have to go back again to the region in the near future in a more protracted and complicated war?

Iran and Israel getting involved, many Iraqi casualties... potential nuclear standoff... (we have to get involved again, with many MANY more soldiers)... umm destabilization of OPEC nations sends oil through the roof... causing the cost of everything to increase dramatically... we can't afford gas to get to work, or the food at the store because of this... Also strengthens Muslim extremists as they have our leaving Iraq in such a mess to point to... so more death there too...

its pretty bleak, really...

I'm a liberal who prays to God we stay and resolve this mess...

Personally i think it will be all out chaos as there is no social control .. their police force is corrupt .. their army are not ready and there is still fear amongst the civillians re civial war .. I believe it would be a huge mistake in pullling out as this is the reason for this occupation as it was not recified in the first place...People may suggest at the consequences at withdrawal but does anyone really want to find out what an unstable undivided state can do it itself and innocent civillians ????

I think that the democracy that they have established would completely collapse if we were to pull out of Iraq. We would most likely have to go back in again, to take care of another out of control dictator, and the whole thing will have become worse then Vietnam was by far.

We'll either have to go back to the region, or deal with the fanatics here.

Defeat in Iraq is NOT an option.

Consequences will be there no matter what we do, they will fight each other in Iraq. If we leave or stay it will be if not is , a civil war.
We did enough damage lets just come home and save the rest of our soldiers.

Well the consequences of fighting a war we cannot win is pointless and the cost is astronomical....and at what cost? More death of soldiers and innocent Iraqi's.

He is dead.....Bush got the dirty dead done...Bring them home!
