It's like in a previous life, she was a video game addict. I can't get her attention usually. Now even picking up the tv remote control, she thinks is a flashlight.

Hahahaha. That's hysterical. We had an all black cat growing up that LOVED chasing lights too. The red laser pointers were his favorite - he went so far as to try and jump up the wall once to catch it. Silly kitties. Have a nice day!

Honey, I don't think your cat being deaf has anything to do with chasing the light on a wall from your flashlight. My cat Max who is not deaf chases shadows like crazy & if I really want to get him going I take out the ol'laser pen.

You would be surprised on how strong your cats other senses are because he or she is deaf.

Yes! It almost sounds as though you're describing my little bundle of white fur! Noela is 10 years old now - we only realized that she was deaf about 2 weeks after we got her. We took her to the vet, and he told us that something inside didn't develop properly. She's VERY fond of playing catch with the flashlights' light on the wall, and my brother once tried playing with her with a lazer pointer (I stopped it after about 2mins, 'cause I wasn't sure if the lazer pointer might do any harm to her eyesight!).Other than that, she loves playing with her two babies (who I might add is almost 9 years old, both white, blue eyes and NOT deaf!) and cuddling into our beds when it starts getting cooler.

My parents do. He was a stray they adopted along with his brother. He's pure white, DLH without blue eyes. He loved the flashlight so much I gave them a laser pointer for christmas...the flashlight is now put away!!!
