you go girl.......more women should step up and prove they belong.

I think a lot of people will be very proud of you. I don't even know you and I think that is the coolest thing to do. You made my day.

Have you thought at all about the Air National Guard? There is such a big difference between the two...not to say that the Air Force is for wimps, but the physical aspects of it is different plus the AF is generally looked upon as being the more intelligent while the Army does the grunt work. Life is just very very different in the Air National Guard and chances are you will have a better experience and enjoy it more.

Good luck!

Doesn't matter where you join to me and about being a girl, so what. There are lots of females in all the branches of service. Go with God and do your thing for your country and mine, in the Guard, in the Army, in the Navy, in the Air Force, in the Marines, in the Coast Guard, or even the Reserves. Thank God for young women and men like you!

If it's something you want to do...go for it! In the modern world, women have so many opportunities open to them that their Mothers and Grandmothers never had, it would be a shame to not take advantage of them. I have 2 daughters and I have always told them that they are capable of just about anything they want to accomplish if they have the will to do so. I wish you all the best and hope you find a path that suits you. :)

I think it is your personal choice to defend our country, but I also think it distracts our male soldiers. In the midst of this war, honey, stay home, go to college, get married, have children, live while you can.
