I am in a real bind, i have a court date for feb. 13 with an NCO group. they are suing for 5700. In august of last year they sent out a notice stating i owe that amount of money for capital 1. I send out a validation letter certified and i never got anything, i sent another one out and still nothing. I looked up my credit report it showed a capital 1 account charged off in june of 2002 at 2904. dose not show anything from NCO... i live in iowa... all of the certified letters showed that they were recived

go to court. take a lawer with you and make nco prove the debt is valid. is it still within statute of limatations. see www.budhibbs.com for great information

no way you can get out of this one, they are right in you owing 5700 bucks. they only thing you have to look forward to is getting you check garnished with this amount they will talk half. If you own a home it will go in to foreclosure to satisfy this debt. you should of paid it a long time before.

The best thing you can do is communicate with them. If you don't, you're still going to have to pay it, but it will really mess up your credit.

If you can make up and stick to a payment plan, it probably won't mess your credit up.

Get a lawer or call them and see if you can work out a payment plan with them.Thats what I did and it worked out preety good
