Standards have been recently been widened, much like they were in the early '70's.
Incidents became more common, which lead to the 'All Vol. Army'.
They also indicated that that conflict was loosing support amoungst the most revelant Americans, besides Congress, the people doing the fighting. No offense, nor disrespect intended.

Why does it concern you so much? You may as well ask how many automobile fatalities were pre-meditated murder. How are you going to know? I'm in the military. Active Duty for 16 years. I've done 8 tours in the Middle East since 1991. The things you refer to were known to have happened in Vietnam (with a draftee army). The military now is a much tighter knit group. I have only heard of one incident where a soldier tried to kill his fellow soldiers. I believe it was in Kuwait just before Operation Iraqi Freedom kicked off. A soldier threw a grenade into a tent full of soldiers. I don't recall if anyone died, but the soldier was put in jail.

I would think more than a few maybe 3 or 4 %
I am sure you recall that football player that died over there. His death has been changed to 'other' or somesuch.
There is a perfect enviorments for such things to occur (high strees, often cheating spouses, etc).
Post tramtic stress syndrome did not make itself up!

I love to see how supportive some of you people are of our troops.

How many of these situations are you aware of, and where is the evidence?
