okay, i have had a crush on a guy for a long time, and it was really embarrassing when we met, so everytime i see him, i can't talk to him because it's a little awkward, but i think he feels the same way (a total guess) and we are going on a retreat this winter with my youth group and i was wondering if i should tell him how i feel...mistake?

Don't tell him how you feel. That would be like a conductor of a symphony trying to play all the instruments. The conductor's role is to inspire the symphony to play music.
This is what you should do with this guy you like. Inspire him to want to be his best. You do this by smiling at him and giving him special eye contact. He is young and probably nervous about his feelings. As a female, use your power of understanding emotions to help him understand his feelings. Girls are the best at doing that. Us guys are often afraid when we are attracted to a girl because it is not a linear thought but a circular emotion with no predictability. Females are better at adapting to that feeling which is why females make great lovers. They are good at expressing these feelings. Guys tend to clam up.
Therefore, it is your responsibility to allow him to open himself up to you to express his attraction.
At this juncture, I don't think either of you really "like" each other, but, you both are clearly attracted to each other. Take it slowly and allow him to make his move on you and it will be a classic "married since we were little sweethearts."

in the entire history of your crush for that boy, this may be the first and hopefully not the last sensible thing you are going to do. how will he understand your crush, as long as you dont speak it out to him? go on, summon courage and tell him that you like him and that you have been wanting to tell this to him for a long time. i think you should go for it. i am in the same boat. i have a crush right now on this guy, and i finally got his number, and people tell me i should go for it. and call him. they it's not going to hurt you. the worst thing he can do is tell you no. and if he does and least you will know. itstead of tellling yourself what if.

its never a mistake to express ur feelings - the worst that can happen is he can say he doesnt feel the same, and although it may hurt, at least you will know and at least you had the courage to tell him ur feelings
