I am sorry but the LOVE of money is considered to be the root of evil in this world. As for Eve, She was deceived. How did she get deceived? If Adam was doing his job maybe she would not have become deceived. And why did Adam blame her out of his shame? Making her a scapegoat, for slacking off on his responsibilities? There is a lot to consider, but to say that Eve is the root of evil is not in the scripture. We never complain because it's not an issue.

Good question. Not only is Eve singled out later by in the New Testament but tons of women in the Old Testament are looked down on. There are a million references to a woman being worth less than a man and giving birth to a female makes the mother 'unclean' for 14 days, whereas a boy is only 7 (Lev 15) That chapter has a few other 'unclean' rules about women. The 'heroines' in the OT are young, pretty, manipulative-not ONE ever gets to the top and says anything about the place of women. If they have a brain, it's only used to manipulate.
When I was younger, my mom went to a Bible Study group that sat around and tried to deend it! They would come up with idiotic excuses to defend it. I have no idea why.

Because they are taught to be silent. Actually Paul teachs that it was adam's sin for not teaches his wife properly and any thinking women should know that Adam didn't want to be alone, so he had to be next to Eve and not someplace else in the garden when the snake tempted her, I mean what else is there for him to do in the garden after she appeared, but be fasinated by her and be by her side??? So he was there and didn't stop her or instruct her on what God said. But it is alwasy taught that it was her sin and that Adam coward away from God and tried to blame it on her to. It is also know that Eve was kind of overbearing, and Adam let her rule over him, which is why he stood there and let it happen, so I don't understand why there is the mythical Lillith story running around either. Both Eve and Lillith are rebellious, or allowed to be rebellious by Adam. But once again, womn are not allowed to preach, is what I think women are more concerned about today, even though most theologian men refused to admit, that paul would not allow women to teach back then because they were never allowed to go the church or school and therefore they could not preach/teach what they knew nothing about and women with degrees today are still not allowe dot teach/preach. enough of my agenda.

Because it is not true. The Bible does not call Eve the root of all evil nor is she held responsible for the problems in the world. Although both were cursed for eating the forbidden fruit, Adam, as caretaker of the earth was held ultimately responsible for the sin.
If you look at the New Testament, you would find that there he is also held responsible and this is taught in Christian doctrine.

Nope, the serpent is to blame. Satan is the root of evil, not Eve.
Moreover, Genesis is more of learning story than a historical passage.
With no malice intended, it could be said that Man does not have enough will power to resist eating either.
***OFF TOPIC ****
I once heard this joke...
If Adam and Eve were Chinese, we would still be in heaven... Cos instead of the apple, the snake would be eaten. :P

EVE WAS WRONG AND WE ALL HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT
1Tim.2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

I think it's because Adam was equally as guilty. Yes it was Eve who took the first bite, but Adam was convinced by her to do it as well. If someone is involved in sin and convinces you to sin as well, aren't you just as guilty as they are? So in essence, no I am not offended because I believe that men are just as guilty. If Adam had refused that piece of fruit, then one could say that woman really was the root of all evil, but he fell into it as well and so we are all guilty. Hope that helps. : )

Offended in a cultural way. But then again, we're the root of all knowledge, since man now knows what is good and what is evil. If not, we might still be making yippy with all those animals. > : P
