Recently I was looking throught my telescope meade (great refactor) when I found jupiter , I really get exited because i've never seen a planet (only in pictures or T.V). So naturally I Wished to capture that moment but someone tells me that I can only use a ccd camera to take the picture throught the telescope it's that true or I can use my digital camera Konica Minolta 5.0 megapixels dimage Z20 or my Sony Ericson phone camera.

I've heard of alot of people getting by with digital camera's............... preferably a digital SLR (more adjustment)........... or slightly modified webcams for astrophotography.......... before CCD images people also used to use 35mm Film SLR camera's with a special adaptor.
