I'm just curious here....this is no bearing on my current relationship. but what do people find easiest to do? when a relationship has gone from sweet to sour, and the person you have been with forever impose on you a rude awakening with the words "It is over" what would you do?

(a) Do you hold on for dear life, hoping that things will change?

(b) Do you walk away with your pride in tact, but really your plotting something devious?

(c) Do you delude yourself and say you have let go, but feel there is some unfinished business, because you feel you should have done the finishing?

(d) Do you bow gracefully, go and never look back?

Bow gracefully and never look back. I would talk with the person to find out the reasons why they want to end the relationship. If we can't come to an understanding, I'm not going to beg. You can't force someone to stay with you. And if the person already took my love, the least I could do is leave with my pride.

Has happened in the past to this fella and attempt to bow out gracefully and put closure on the relationship. At the same time I do not bad mouth my ex as it reflects back on me if I was to say negative things then what the hell was I doing with that lady. So providing I learned something from the relationship and breakup also then it was not time wasted. And if we are able to remain friends and/or friendly towards each other all the better.

Bow out gracefully. You were together for a reason. Who knows, maybe you are better off being friends. If you can't handle only being friends, then stay away. You can't keep someone who doesn't want to stay. It will only make things worse later.

C - I always feel like there is unfinished business.

But, the best thing to do is accept things as they are and try to move on and look forward to the future.

Sweetheart, I choose "D" When someone blurts out "Its Over", that means they don't want to talk about it anyMO. I've done it, but it didn't work. LOL
