I had the hots for her .. I had ealier stated this quite directly.. however at that stage she said :I am committed"
Does this mean that i have a chance ?

Depends on what her manerism is when she tells you. If she is very laughy and has a non chalant attitude she is just putting it out there because she likes the idea of being free. If she is flirty then she is letting you know so you will make a move.

If a girl says this to you, I would assume that she is saying that she is single. If she was not your girlfriend and she said this, I would have to say that she is trying to persuade you to ask her out. However if it was a girlfriend that said this to you, I would consider moving on with your life.

It probably means that she doesnt consider herself to be in a serious relationship, but her boyfriend/girlfriend might. It could also mean that she doesnt believe in monagomy.
