I'm a Spina Bifida patient and I've been very sick lately with lots of body pain. Nobody seems to know what it is. Could I have MS?

Those two conditions have different aetiologies. In theory it's not impossible.

Why focused on MS specifically? I wouldn't put MS in the top of the list of differential diagnoses for body pain. What other symptoms?

By 'nobody' does that include a neurologist?

I was born with Spina Bifida, had surgery when I was 5 days old and have had aches and pains all my life. It wouldnt hurt to get tested for other things, but with Spina Bifida affecting the main core of your body(The Spine) the way it does you are always going to have aches and pains no matter. As far as your immune system, Im pretty sure thats not related to Spina Bifida. Just get tested and see is the best advice I can give you.

Hi,
Sorry to hear you are in pain, I have a 9 yr old with Spina Bifida, and chronic pains throughout are a part of life for her.

Have you talked to your neuro surgeon or perhaps your main/family doctor (that knows your medical history).

If your pains are severe, you need to seek help immediately, your body could be trying to tell you there is something going on.

Good Luck!
