If you want to find out what Christianity is about, go to the source...Jesus. Why do some people devote their life to being a missionary? Well some do because they wrongly believe that their good works earn them salvation. Some do because they are simply blind slaves to a religious system that has no merit. And some do because the Love of God in Christ fills their hearts and compels them to spend their days for the purpose of knowing Him and making Him known.

Why do you think that Christianity is all about getting money? I apologize for those who have led you to believe this. It is contrary to what Jesus taught. Christians reach out to the homeless and the less fortunate in order to give them hope, and that having the "things" of this world are not as important as having Christ as their savior. However, I believe that this message is best received when physical needs are met as well. It's hard to tell someone who is hungry that Jesus will fill their hunger when that person hasn't had anything to eat in two days. Jesus commanded us to not only tell others about Him, but also to help those in need PHYSICALLY as well. You can preach the Gospel all you want, but until you DO the Gospel as well, your message will not be received effectively. Not sure if that was exactly what you were asking, but hope that helps. : )

Most Christians I know aren't rich by any means, particularly those who are pastors & missionaries. They are devoting their lives to helping people. Do you know any missionaries who get paid lots of $ to live in Africa & help people, all the while living with none of the amenties we have in the US? No, Christianity is NOT all about $$$. Uh, last time I checked it takes $$$ to HELP people. It takes $$$ to do ANYTHING. That means asking for donations from those who actually want to help people in the world who are less fortunate.

NO if you don,t tide then when you spend it stays gone if you tide what you tide comes back 7 times fold and sometimes more...People worry about money that they tide but if you tide and the person you trust with your tidings don't do right that is what miss conceives people but the tidier did his part and the abuser of the tides don't do right He will be the one to face God with it...When you give money it should be from your heart and trust in Jesus that it,s purpose is used were it is needed..If not you have done right but the abuser is the one who will lose in the long run....What you do for some one has to be from the heart or it,s like not doing it at all God bless the U.S.A. and all who are confused and Israel

You're right. Christianity is not about money. Sadly, far too many people who have this bias against Christianity have the flashy "Christian" TV Evangelists to point to in order to make their case regarding Christianity being all for the money, but they don't take into consideration the teachings of Christ and what He said about riches nor what you just said about Christian missionaries in third world countries where, I assure you, it's not what many Americans would consider luxurious living. If they would take this into consideration, their house of cards that they built against Christianity would come toppling on their heads.

Christianity is NOT all about getting money. As a matter of fact, if a Christian only accepted Christ because they thought that God would bless them with riches because that is what some mega church or preacher off the t.v told them, then they accepted Him for the wrong reasons and God knows their heart. We were never promised we would be rich in the bible. It does talk about riches and us being blessed, but soooooooo many people do not even understand what that means. It means we are rich in the Holy Spirit and righteousness and we are blessed with eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. NOT material possessions.

If that's all you can see christianity as, then you're totally blinded by the world. How many homeless people have you helped? Why do the unbelievers feel as though their primary job is to complain about what christians aren't doing, when they themsleves don't have the desire to help anyone do anything, but get entangled with their twisted way of thinking.

For the majority, its all about getting $$$s. Religion is The great river Euphrates, the cash cow, the business mans delight. But God says He will dry up the great river. This will precipitate christianity's fall.

I'm Christian and I'm not all about the money. I so happen to be Christian with very little money, but I'm still Christian.
I did go on a mission trip to Mexico and El Paso, TX. and I wouldn't trade the experience for anything in this world. It costed $100 for food and a place to stay but it was so worth it.

I don't know what exactly u mean. All about the money? Christianity is Not about money its about your love for our Lord & Savior. If your talking about all the preachers & churches always askin for money i can see your point. I stopped going to church because its true they want $$$ and all they preach is hell & damnation instead of the joy, miracles and happiness in the Lord. I read my bible at home. I figure who better than God himself to teach me!
