what runs through the pre-pubescent boys head is often a confusing and non-methodical, nonsensical thought process. he probably was just curious and its nothing to worry about...

if anything, arm him with knowledge. dont show fear when he comes to you with questions-its a good thing! and the more open and honest you are with him the more comfortable hell feel as he gets older.

Maybe there is talk at school about someone being pregnant or someone telling false information and he knows it isn't right but isn't sure just what the right info is.

This is a good time to sit down with him and tell him you are do glad he is comfortable coming to you and asking questions. Then give him the right information and talk to him a bit about teen pregnancies and why waiting is really a good choice. Tell him you aren't sure why he asked the questions but you sure hope he will always come to you...and tell him that when you were a kid people made up all kinds of rumors that weren't true about having sex and not getting pregnant and a lot of kids found out the hard way that they aren't true and trying to get married and support a baby while you are still a kid is not fun.

He and his friends were probably just talking and the subject came up. I think he and his friends maybe comparing knowledge. My advice at age 12 sit down with him and give him the talk about the birds and the bees and if you can't find a male that he respects and as that male to talk to him.
It is time he learned in this day and age

Ok I would be concerned! Hopefully he is just being curious but you need to sit him down and have a heart to heart talk with him. Try not to act overly concerned stay cool and hopefully he will tell you the truth. If he has been messing around better to find out sooner than later.

Maybe he's just curious...sadly, maybe he has a friend who thinks she is, or a friend who can't figure out whats with his mom or something, but I don't think I would get too freaked out, Kids come up with crazy questions out of the blue, so just calmly tell him a few things that a pregnant woman might feel...no biggy!

He is finding out the boundaries of his gender and his personal boundaries. If no one has told him this is just a girl thing then how is he to know? He is going to be a teen soon and should aready have had the facts of life talk. This is just a sign he is ready to know what is going on with his body.

Tell him in terms that he will understand--start with how one gets pregnant--it might be that one of the kids at school has a Mom that is pregnant and they mentioned morning sickness and he is just wondering what that is??

Should you be concerned? NO. Be thankful that he feels comfortable asking you about sexual matters.... try to not overreact at these kind of questions..if you answer in a matter-of- fact way, he will realize that his "snickering" friends are being babyish... let him know that he can ALWAYS ask or talk to you about anything.. and then let him!! good luck and try to stay 'cool' ..answer his question and THEN ask him why he wanted to know

Probably just curious. Or possibly has a friend that he is worried about.. I am sure it is no big deal.
