Why aren't they going to do anything about it? Surely they gave some reason... If not then call them back. If that doesn't work contact the IPCC (Independant Police Complaints Commission) or go into your local station and make a complaint. Anyone over the age of 10 is liable for criminal responsibility so therefore can be arrested in the UK and face prosecution. If it happened at school or was a school related incident then you could try also reporting it to them.

yes im not sure what you can, a year ago this happened to a child a few doors from me they rang the police no body came out so his mum had a word with the school they did nothing ,so the kids father had a word with the child that did it and the police came out and told him not to take the law into his own hands .
society is screwed its all set up to create more tyranny to protect the perpatraitor and not the victim which just creates a total endless pile of crap , then they come along and take our rights as a solution , aittle commonsence would be welcome by our government officials. im just glad we dont live in the states they probably would have slammed the father on the ground cuffed him and charged him . really other than taking the law in your own hands (odviously not being violent) im not sure what you can do .

Always put your complaints in writing as phone calls just get forgotten follow procedure and maybe you will change the way you were dealt with get it checked by some one before sending
When dealing with the police also note down crime reference number if you havent got one make sure you go and get one by doing a statement at the station and take a note of the number of the police officer who deals with you so you can refer back Its frustrating to find yourself in this situation especially when it comes to your children so follow up dont give up on this one!!!! Children over 10 years are responsible by law now

i live in hampshire and had a similar problem with the police doing nothing complain in writing to nthe chief constable they have to investigate all complaints and the police have to justify them selves to the chief constable because children are minors the law states that they canot be treated as harshly as an adult the law suxs if someone gets assulted whether it be a child or an adult the police should arrest the suspeact and question them at least complain and it works no local police force likes to have there officers investigated because it means theres a possibility they have not done there job propely good luck and stand up for your rights!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should complain to the council, if you are nice to the people at the council but firm about how angry you feel about how you have been treated by the police. If you can get the council on your side the police will have to do something.
Also try contacting the local press about this - at least more people will be aware about how bad the police in your area are.

You need to see what the minimum age is someone can be charged with a crime where you live. In Texas, and 11 year old or younger cannot be charged with a crime. If you are 12, then they will get involved in the juvenile justice system. That could be the case.
Sounds like you need to get a handle on both kids. Generally, in situations I run into, even if the one kid "jumped" the other kid, both had done something "at fault" leading up to the incident. Parents need to raise, discipline, and punish their kids before the law has to get involved.

An 11 year old can be arrested and charged, you should call the police and ask to speak to a senior officer that deals with missconduct or go see citizens advice and see what they say, that would be your best option

The police all stick together. even if one of them break the law. Don't make one mad. They will find a way to frame you or something. It is best to just move. I have known few cops on a personal level. Be careful. They can be very tricky.

Write to the Chief Constable and make a formal complaint. Send it recorded delivery and give them 10 days to reply then write again. They must investigate complaints but dont hold your breath, my son had similar problems with another force some years ago.

Have a chat with your local education department at your local council, tell them that you have reported this to the police but they are not going to persue it. Or get in touch with this website, they are fantastic.
