I'm an avid collecter of Sleeping Beauty Dolls, and I have some other Disney princess dolls. I remember and I can see by my own collection how beautiful the dolls use to be. Now they look like crap and the dresses seem to get uglier and uglier. I have a doll that I had from 1991 and a doll I bought for christmas, A total and utter difference in Quality. I had every single Disney Princess Doll and I would never buy anyone, unless they change back to what they were. Am I Crazy or is it true? I don't want to buy a Disney doll for my daughter, they don't have quality anymore. Everything is cheaply made and sold for high amounts

Right there with ya, sister. I used to love going to the Disney store because sure the stuff was expensive, but it was really neat stuff. I really think they've taken the quality check out of merchandise an just gone for the lowest bottom line. Fine business tactic, but makes me ill-inclined to buy it because I know what it *used* to be.

The manufacturers of those toys (and most toys, really) don't care what kind of quality their toys are or what they look like for that matter. They know that because kids are so spoiled these days, their toys are gonna fly off the shelves no matter what.

I agree, dolls are getting uglier. Even baby dolls are uglier..and don't even get me started on Bratz dolls. They're creepier then hell..

Sigh...

My 2 young daughters LOVE princess dolls and especially the Holiday Barbies-yes, the dresses are uglier each year but they don't care. I have the prettier ones put up but let them play with the others. You should buy her one if she wants one later on. :)

I agree completely. A lot of the dolls don't even LOOK like the princess they're supposed to be. It's pretty sad. I don't want a doll of someone dressed like Aurora. I want a doll of Aurora!

I quite have one iron clad perception with this form of factor. If the youngster desires to gown up in ladies clothing and play with dolls, that's superb. yet do no longer push it upon them. i understand a mom who paints her son's nails via fact SHE desires to, no longer him. yet I additionally understand a mom whose little boy has a dolly pram via fact he genuinely loves it. He pushes his Buzz and Woody dolls around in it :P in the experience that your son needs it, then supply it to him. in case you needed him to have it for some unusual reason, then i could be questioning why. there's a pair of youngsters in my kin who love watching the garbage truck empty the bin, so some Christmas' decrease back their mom's offered them toy Otto packing containers. They make super storage packing containers on wheels as quickly as the toddlers get bored in dragging them around.
