If he knows and is interested...you dont have to do anything...he will. If he knows and ISNT interested...you'll know, cause he wont respond. Simple really.

i fail to see the problem, don't you want him to find out eventually...or would you rather just sit alone in a dark room listening to sad music thinking of him..GOOD he found out.....next step is you go out with him
