Well, My sis has wavy hair but I have noticed that after a shower when the hair is wet she uses a wide toothed comb and brushes out the hair from root to the ends slowly in front of a pedestrial fan. It makes her hair look straight and becomes untangled. I hope this works for you as well!

The absolute best is a product called Straighten Out from FX Special Effects. You can get it at any Walgreens, CVS, Wal-Mart, etc. You'll love it!

My hair is naturally curly and so was my mothers. She actually straightened hers with rollers, when her hair was wet. After using rollers (for years) her hair eventually straightened out. Not me, I use a flat iron.

Buy a good flat iron, this'll straighten it.
You could also blowdry your hair straight with a brush.

Use a straightening serum (John Frieda do a good one) after you've washed your hair, then blow dry your hair straight.
