chefgrill.
grades A-E refer to the cows age only. but does have an effect on quality, so you could be right too.

Its the left over cuts of beef that cant be sold as steak or ground beef. Similar to the ingredients of a hot dog or Spam. Its just highly seasoned and ground finely.

It is difficult to know. It depends on the producers, normally they use trimmings or remainings from the other cuts. Especially when the meat comes already cooked or processed.
I am not a big fan of this kind of food. My slogan is do not eat anything that you cant know or see what it has inside
Same happens with burgers. They use specific cuts but they add tons of fat to the mixture and seasonings to give flavor. Some factories even put a special ink on the fat to make it look like meat but when you cook them the fat melts anyways and you end up having a cookie size burger from a plate size one.
Hope it helps

Cows dude.

I think you mean the quality. Its the sort of stuff that is mechanically seperated and then left behind on the machines. The kind of wash it off into sluce gates then that is kinda processed with other "food stuffs" flavourings and additives etc.

Take a walk around a hotdog factory or something like that you'll get the idea.

It's Grade D (or below) beef that comes from trimmings and fatty parts and non-sellable parts of the cow. Grind it all up and you get Grade D or below. McDonald's uses I believe one step higher than D.
