This has happened to my cousin. She is on probation which she has paid each month and is up to date on community service. Her license is suspended but she drives like an idiot and has already been pulled over twice for speeding. Each time they give her a ticket and they just ask the passenger to drive for her (lucky bi***). She doesn't tell her PO that she has tickets. I've told her to be honest with the PO and tell her before she finds out on her own and ends up getting in to trouble. She is convinced that as long as she pays it quickly the PO won't find out. Is that true? I don't care if she goes to jail she probably deserves it for acting so immature, but her daughter is only 20 months old. I'm only worried about the baby who is so attached to her mother. BTW I live in Texas

it will depend upon whether she is cited for just speeding or if she receives a criminal citation for operating with a susp. lic. many times, a police officer has the choice to arrest the suspended operator or issue a criminal citation. I don't believe that the probation officer would be aware of minor speeding infractions but would defintely know about any criminal citations as they are criminal charges which appear on your criminal record

It all depends on how she took care of the ticket if she got it differed then by Texas state statue no one but the actual dept. who wrote the ticket would know. But if she just paid the ticket then it is public record and the PO can and more than likely find out and in the state of Texas DWLS driving while license suspended is a serious offense. She is probably going to go back to jail.

She will have to do more Jail time. She is an idiot, like you said. Obviously she feels she is more important than her 20 month old daughter. She will probably loose her baby through the state because she is unfit. If you are so concerned for your cousin.....then do her a favor turn her in to her PO, before she makes a really big mess out her life. The ball is in your court. Do what is right. She might even thank you for it someday.

She is taking a chance driving (even when not speeding) on a suspended license. She is just lucky so far, but luck will run out and one of these times the cops will arrest her.

Her PO may or may not check her driving record, they are pretty overworked. Al those tickets will be on her record though, no matter how fast she pays them.

if the po finds out she'll be in trouble and doesn't Texas have the 3 strikes your gone law? She needs to think about that but yeah she might be better off telling the PO herself b/c if the PO does a search it could mean more trouble and if she's been on good behavior maybe the PO will be easy on her

he PO will adventually find out and she can be sent back to court over it and be handed jail time instead of probation but most of the time they get a slap on the wrist and more probation and a longer lic. suspention until they keep getting caught then its jail time but usually not for long my BIL only ended up with 60 days in jail and 2 more years of probation.

Her PO can check her record at any time and find out wether she pays or not. It doesn't matter when she pays. I would try to convince her to come clean and hopefully her PO will be understanding. Otherwise, tell her to get a good lawyer.

Usually the police run a check on your license (in CT)...if it is suspended you will be arrested and brought to the police barracks for processing. A bond may be set or you may be released with a court date. Probation is notified by the police and your probation may be violated....all in all, could result in a jail sentence of up to one year...your cousin is making very poor decisions and this may result in her losing custody of her daughter!

What your friend doesn't realize is that everytime she gets stopped, the officer SHOULD run her name to see if she has any "wants or warrants" for her arrest. It takes time, but a report is eventually sent everytime somebody on "probation" status is inquired upon. If the PO learns that she's violated her probation, she could have that status revoked.

It depends upon where she lives and what she is on probation for. For people in my state, on probation for a felony, having a driving on suspended is not a major violation, and won't get her arrested.
