You must be using the word christian lightly. If however you are and want to continue to be a strong christian women, you should probably do some thinking about it all. Without getting to religious on you it says that you should not marry a non christian. Also not to mention how hard your life will be with raising children etc. If your religion is more your heritage than a daily devotion then just let it all go!

I agree with hah.
If both or you are members of your respective religions in fact and not just in name, it can, very easily, become a huge problem.

As hah said, marriage is tough when both parties believe the same things. Even if both of you were of one faith but different sects it would make marriage harder, different faiths outright is almost a guaranteed disaster. Almost, you may be able to make it work, but it will be a lot of work for both of you.

Please note what you said, 'when his friends come over' you have to change the way you act. I have no doubt that he will expect you to compromise your beliefs while he maintains his own without compromise.

Do two separate ceremonies, one Christian and one Muslim. But make sure he is as willing to compromise as you are and discuss the expectations each of you has of the other for your marriage.

You'd better study up on Islam and Moslem society because you will probably be required to convert your religion as part of the marriage. Depending on what sect of his religion he belongs to will determine how you get treated as a female. Some are quite harsh compared to Christian standards.

my daughter married a young man from kuwait. i happen to like him. there were a few things that he would not allow. for example, no more bacon, ham sandwiches or pork chops. she could no longer see a male doctor and when his muslim friends over, she was expected to be respectful and not interrupt. small things, really. you should expect to give in on a few things. if you can't, i assure you it won't work.

Not what you are going to want to hear, but I wouldn't, the differences will be too much, really. It is hard enough to marry within your faith, this just sounds like it is doomed from the get go...think long and hard...it will not be easy. good luck.
