I am officially off the market yet when i am out with my single friends i am the only one that gets the offers to dance or get guys to buy me drinks i tell them politely that i am engaged and that i have single friends all around but they always seem to be only interested in me....It's obvious i'm engaged because i am wearing a ring. So why do guys want girls that aren't availible?

Jealousy! I think it must be a natural genetic thing. When someone else has something you know it must be good. My dog A, is friends with another dog B. Dog B won't touch his bones at all when he's home alone. When my dog comes over he grabs them and chews all day long. He just doesn't want my dog to have them!

Hey.. I don't go for married women.. but women with boyfriends.. that's another matter - I consider them single until they are engaged (like you) or have husbands.
On the other hand, if you're getting all the attention, then it's probably because you are the one whos' either most attractive or the most relaxed in a group. Just because you're engaged doesn't mean you can't dance with other guys.. dancing is not making out.
One of the reasons that guys want girls that aren't available may be because the unavilable ones may be the most attractive ones. Girls with boyfriends (not husbands) are technically not off the market, so they're fair game for all the unmarried guys out there.
So, if you get offered a dance, don't be offended - if you don't want to dance, just say 'no'. But if you do want to dance, don't be afraid to just have some fun - unless your fiance is the jealous type. In that case, just tell the guys that your fiance is the jealous type - they'll go find other girls.

Because you are sending a MIXED SIGNAL. You are hanging out with single girls who are looking to hook up and so they assume you are as well. They like the idea and think that since you are already spoken for then they don't have to put in the work to have a good time. In reality you are seen as the easier one.

I think it's because it's forbidden and it seems exciteing to them. I think it's also that they think that just because your enaged and since your not married yet that it's ok and it's not. They might want to try to change your mind about marrying the guy your going to marry. It's hard but you can not let them if your faithful to your finace and love him but it might be best if you stop hanging out with your single friends. Just some ideas there.

It goes both ways. Girls are pretty open and social to guys who are married or girl friends. What you're talking is not about dating. It's about feeling comfortable in social environment like clubs and so on. When the guy knows the girl is taken or married, he feels more free and more open and easy to talk to the person. When the girls see a guy who's married or have a gf, they know that the guy won't try to hit on them. So they like to have a good conversation and enjoy their company.

maybe because other guys want to know how well they are with girls by trying to get hooked up with every girl in the world may it be single or engaged or married...
but i'm certainly not one of those guys...

i've never really heard of that either. It always seemed harder when married to get them to even think about it in my opinion. Maybe they just find you more attractive and interesting than your single friends. They may also think you may have more experience in certain departments.

I do not think that is true. I would never date a married woman or a woman in a relationship. I dated a woman who was married a long time ago and it almost got me killed. Never again. She pursued me at the time and I went for it. Never ever again.

Because you're in a bar, the guy thinks you're messin' around on your husband. And seeing that you're engaged, they figure that you know how to please a man. And this way, he has no obligations to you, he can just walk away if he wants because you can't say anything about this "secret rendezvous".
