I am not pregnant. Had my tubes tied 2 years ago. No fever. No strain. Just sitting and talking when I suddenly felt intense, sharp pain in my belly button. It is not pierced. It lasted 2 minutes and was gone but now the area is tender.

you might have adhesions from having had surgery, I do, the pain comes and goes, unless it is constant and severe, doctors won't do anything about it because surgery to fix adhesions is not very succesful, and might even create more.

That's weird, but you should go and have a Dr. check to see if it's your appendixs, often the pain from appendicitis will radiate to your belly button, any unexplained pain in your abdomin need to looked and quickly. Even if it only lasted two minutes(actually that a long time for a sharp pain). Get it check you'll feel better even if it turns out to be nothing. But your body is telling you something listen to it. Good luck and health to you.

If it felt external it might be an insect or spider bite. You might try some hydrocortisone cream. Internally, I have no idea.
