as far as Jesus being sent to the Jews only, I know that he presented himself to the Jews ( who denied him) and then the gentiles (who accepted him) and the Bible says "the first shall become last and the last first"
are Jews still precious to God? YES!
all those who accept Jesus as their Savior are precious to God, no matter who was presented with Jesus first.

Quite often you may hear of the "10 lost tribes of Israel" but this is not totally true.
In the days of Jesus upon the earth, there was still the tribe of Judah, Benjamin, Levi, Simeon (Jesus was from the tribe of Judah, Paul from Benjamin, priests from Levi, Simeon was dispersed in Judah and so not all of them where taken away before) and people had moved from the northern kingdom to escape the idolatry and to be with God's people.

Yes it is true that the Lord Jesus Christ was sent only to the lost sheep of the House of Israel. Matthew 15: 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. He had 12 apostles one for each of the 12 tribes of Israel and He send them only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Matthew 10: 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. When the Nation of Israel rejected Jesus as their king and had him killed the Nation of Israel was blinded and today there is no favored nation with God. Romans 11: 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. After the Nation of Israel fell, God called one apostle and sent him to the Gentiles and gave him the age of grace. The apostle Paul was given the gospel of the grace of God and that was the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, and that He was buried and took our sins away and He rose again the third day for our justification. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Jesus himself stated that he was sent to the lost sheep of Israel (Matthew 15:24). By the time of his death, the vast majority of Israel had rejected him as the Messiah.
However, in the account of Acts 10, where Peter is given a vision of unclean (according to the Law) animals of which to eat --- God tells him that such unclean things have now been cleansed and are acceptable. At that moment, men of Cornelius, a Gentile and formerly unclean for Israel to associate with, arrive. Peter goes with them to find that Cornelius is a believer.
While he may have been sent to Israel, clearly the way has been opened up for all to accept him.
