You might say, well don't drink water before going to bed, I pee 2 times a night even if I stop my liquids at 7pm and sleep at 11pm and it doesn't let me really rest, what can I do?

When you are urinating at night, does it feel like your bladder is full or is it just a little bit. If it is a little bit then you may have an overactive baldder or a bladder infection and you should see you doctor for treatment. If it is a "feel full badder" then this is normal and there is pretty much nothing you can do. I dring a ton of water and I mean a ton and I go alot. I had concerns so spoke to my doctor and he stated that since I drink a lot of fluids, then I am going to go to the bathroom a lot. Which is healthy. You can try to reduce the amount of liquids that you take in each evening but its not going to make much difference. Try going to the bathroom right before you go to sleep, that has helped me a little. I have found that in the morning. My old job had me up at 3am, that when I had coffee if I did not eat something bread like that I would have to run to the bathroom quite a bit, but when I ate something that seemed to soak up liquid that I did not go as often. If your instincts are telling you that there may be something wrong, then follow them and talk to a doctor. Now that I am no longer getting up at 3am to go to work, I am finding that I still have to get up and go to the bathroom at about that time each night. I have a full bladder each time.

When I had a child that had bed wetting problems, an old doctor told me to give them a bath with 2 cups of vinegar in the water. You must stay in the water for 20 minutes. He said it helps the bladder hold. If that doesn't work, ask a doc. (It worked! After about a month, we stopped the vinegar in the bath and there was no more trouble.)

Here is what i suggest, if your are waking up alot with sudden ergs to pee than see your doctor to find out if you have an over active bladder, also go to the bathroom be for bed and if you do not pee turn on the water it will allow you to go limiting your water will only do so much, so try exercise to sweat out extra liquids and help you sleep sounder.

First off I would try to decrease your water consumption to 5-6 bottle max. Because there is such a thing as "water intoxication" when you get too much water in your bloodstream, and the equilibrium of electrolytes in your blood cells becomes too diluted and the cells die. Potentially a very bad thing. Second off I would try to reach a DR sometime in the future to see if you have a disorder with your salivary glands (spit glands) and if that is the case get meds for that and you shouldnt feel as thirsty throughout the day. and to teisha saying 7 glasses of water is exactly what is recommended i have never heard of a recommendation less than 8-10 glasses in one day. AND even with those 7 glasses that this person is consuming it is in all reality 14 glasses of water because the recommended size of glasses of water to go by is an 8 oz serving of water, and she is consuming 16.9 oz per bottle of water so she is drinking twice as much as she should according to your standards

Polyuria is an excessive need to urinate. Excessive urination can be a sign of a number of disorders, including diabetes.

Polyuria that occurs over several days and is not due to medications or an increase in fluid intake may be a cause for concern. Left untreated, it can lead to dehydration, a serious complication of diabetes.

Polyuria can also be due to many other conditions, including endocrine disorders, kidney disease, liver disease, urinary tract infection, mineral imbalances, head injury, emotional disorders, diabetes insipidus and Wolfram syndrome. Certain medications can also cause excessive urination.

In people with diabetes, polyuria can trigger other symptoms including increased thirst (polydipsia), weight loss and increased hunger (polyphagia). People experiencing polyuria are encouraged to see their physician for appropriate treatment.

Talk to your doctor about an over active bladder, or if you are a male it could have something to do with your prostate. If this problem happening all day, it is something you need to talk to your doctor about.
