Yesterday I dared to struggle. Today I dare to win.
Only when we are no longer afraid do we begin to live.
Courage, it would seem, is nothing less than the power to overcome danger, misfortune, fear, injustice, while continuing to affirm inwardly that life with all its sorrows is good; that everything is meaningful even if in a sense beyond our understanding; and that there is always tomorrow.
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do.
"Give thanks to those who defend democracy - for they bear the gift of liberty and pay the price of freedom".
"It takes an extraordinary person to face danger and maintain composure".
"Freedom is the sure possession of those alone who have the courage to defend it".
When I returned, I like personalized "Thank You" banners. A personal thank you is the greatest site. I personally would suggest sticking to a simple "Thank you" and the soldier/sailor/airman/marine's name. Just a thought.
Thank you for your support.

I don't know if this works for a banner but it is one of my favorites.
" "War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."- John Stuart Mill
" The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing"
Edmund Burke
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.--George Orwell
Battle is the most magnificent competition in which a human being can indulge. It brings out all that is best; it removes all that is base. All men are afraid in battle. The coward is the one who lets his fear overcome his sense of duty. Duty is the essence of manhood.
George S. Patton
"Success means having the courage, the determination, and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be."

Frankly, if confronted with hero and bravery stuff I get more defensive than impressed. Remember, coalition forces didn't just decide they'd like to go kill some arabs, then do it. They don't get the luxury of picking the fights.
I prefer a big "THANK YOU". whatever you put after that will be received much more readily I think.

Here is a quote for your banners. "Pro Choice = Pro Woman" Lets stick with the important things, gay marriage and happy fun abortions for all. You folks and your silly little war miss the point of what life is about, gayness and abortions.
