i.e., live in Annapolis, work in D.C.? How does the cost of living in Annapolis compare to D.C.?

(Really want to live Annapolis, because I can liveaboard a boat there)

Well, Annapolis is certainly cheaper to live it, so as long as the cost of moving to DC is more than the cost of riding MARC, you should stay in Annapolis, so long as you don't mind the commute.

Personally, I find relying on the train troublesome, so make sure you keep an automobile, as (and you probably know this) MARC doesn't run all the time.

I have a friend I met in college who's mom rode the Marc
train in everyday from Annapolis to DC for many years. Many people commute from Baltimore. What you have to figure out is will you salary be worth the cost of the train daily ride/ and is worht sitting on the train 2-3 hours total a day. Most people who commute do so becuase it's so expensive to live in metro DC.
