According to Paul, "Each of you must give what you have decided in your heart, not with regret or under compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver." (II Corinthians 9:7)
You can give as much as you like, and as often as you like, as long as you do it out of love for the Lord and not out of a sense of duty.

In modern day, one should take tithes from whatever income they receive PRIOR to using the new assets. The tithes just need to be separated and set aside immediately....distribution of the tithes can come later. Just once particular funds are set aside, only use those funds for purposes consistent with tithing.

Yes, in fact I believe that is the basic way of tithing. My husband and I were talking about this one evening... The church talks about tithing and giving offering as if they are one in the same, but really they are somewhat different. Tithing is the giving of 10% off the top each month of your gross income. Offerings are going above and beyond that. I know that wasn't part of your question, but it is something I found interesting once I learned the difference. : )

Tithes are jsut supposed to be 10% of whatever you make, and you can give it at any time, as long as its given and given in His name. You don't even have to tithe to a church collection, in my belief..but to any good cause as long as you do it in His name and for His glory.

Yup -- daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, whatever. It is not important WHEN you pay it, just THAT you pay it.
See Genesis 28:22, Numbers 18:21-28 and Malachi 3:8-18.
We pay yearly.
