I do not want to be a police officer and I am not in excellent physical shape - nor do I plan to become. Any suggestions out there for people in the C.J. Field? I am currently working contract for the Fed. Govt. doing Asset Forfeiture. There isn't much of a chance for advancement in my current career and I want to do something more along the lines of Investigation. I am also taking accounting classes at the moment to possibly finish my accounting degree, I have almost a minor now.

You could possibly get into corrections, as their physical standards are not usually as high as law enforcement standards.

Did you study CJ, or complete your degree. Other than LE, there isn't much more to a CJ degree. To get into investigations, you have to work your way up the LE ladder.

The FBI is currently seeking accountants, as they commonly use tax laws, and the such to gain access to other areas of criminal's lives. But, the FBI has tougher physical standards than most LE agencies. Capone, the gangster and bootlegger, was nailed for breaking tax laws.

I have met many people who study CJ and don't want to get into LE. It kind of baffles me why they would study that subject. Even most investigators for District Attorney's are former LE officers.
