not the minutes but usually the hour. for example, its really 16:37, but it changed to 8:37

Your pc is not healthy.
Check for virus.
PC clock once power up is maintan by the electric current not battery.
The clock will run if you shut down the pc.

There is a battery on some motherboards that keeps this clock up to date when the power is off. If your computer is older sometimes this mechanism stops working of the battery fails...

Also – computers do change for daylight savings time automatically but not multiple hours as you have described…

Might be becos some of the system files might be crashed on a current fluctuation or unusual shut down or some programs might have done that.

Job is to turn the clock again to current time. Otherwise re-install the operatin system

Double click on the time.

Locate the box where you can choose how your clock is updated or kept up to date. Change the link to a proper one that I cant really give you right now cause I'm in school and can't change the system time. If you really need the link, just give me your email and I'll email it to you.

Double click the clock icon, then click the internet time tab and unselect the "Automatic synchronize with an internet time server.
