Revelation 12:7-9

7 And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war, 8 and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

So... when did we start calling our adversary, Lucifer?

If you feel that Lucifer is the name of the Dragon then show me scriptual proof.

All I ask is that you read the whole chapter and look up the original term used in hebrew.

Isaiah refers to the king of babylon and not some fallen angel:

If you go back just a few verses you will see who God is talking about:

Isaiah 14:4-7
4 that you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon, and say, "How the oppressor has ceased, {And how} fury has ceased! 5 "The LORD has broken the staff of the wicked, The scepter of rulers 6 Which used to strike the peoples in fury with unceasing strokes, Which subdued the nations in anger with unrestrained persecution. 7 "The whole earth is at rest {and} is quiet; They break forth into shouts of joy.

Further down you see:

12 "How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations!

Part of the answer is within the passage: Verse 9: "...the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan..."

We get Lucifer from Isaiah 14:12: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!" Isaiah was prophesying about the fall of Satan.

Lucifer was a misinterpretation of the bible. One of the verses refers to the fall of someone of great importance and the morning star. Lucifer is the Roman God of the Morning Star, and was often interpreted as being the fallen one. However, the verse actually refers to the Kind of Babylon.

One other fact: Revelations was a book written by John to give Christians hope during the reign of Nero. If you took Nero's full name and converted it to Hebrew letters, then added the numerical value of those letters, you get 666. There's also many more symbols that match up to that time period.

The dragon is Lucifer, or Satan. Prophetic sections of the Bible are usually in symbolic form, with the Prophet often seing visions in which non-visible concepts are represented by an animal or object. Example: Daniel recieved a vision of a statue with different sections made of various materials of differing strengths, symbolizing a series of empires to come in history. The dragon of Revelation is the Devil. Often dragons and serpents represent Satan in the Bible, but not always.

The name Lucifer comes from Isaiah 14:12:

"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!"

"Lucifer" is latin for "light-bearer", it was the translation used in the English Bible for the word "heylal" or "helal". It is commonly thought to be Satan's original name from before he fell into sin and rebelled.

There is doubt though, as to whether "light-bearer" is an accurate translation as to the Hebrew "heylal". The fact that the name only appears once in all of Scripture makes things more difficult. "Halal", which is believed the root word of "Heylal", MAY have the connotations of "light, brightness", but may also mean "boastful' or "rebellious." It may be that this is what the epithet "Heylel" was supposed to mean, or it may be a play on a word, suggesting both meanings, as is common in ancient Hebrew.

Also, in the Bible stars are often used as symbology for angels, and "a third of the stars swept from the sky by the dragon's tail" is likely the rebel angels that Satan took with him into sin. The picture is of them following Satan's lead and so losing their place in Heaven.

That is a link of a list of all the titles of Satan. One of those is dragon.

Rev 12:9,
"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

No one kicked Lucifer out of heaven because there is no Lucifer, never was. The name Lucifer comes from the Greek translation of the hebrew for 'morning star' in an allusion to a very human king.

And for those who want to say that Lucifer is just another name for Satan, to claim that Satan 'fell' from Heaven and set himself up as a rival power to God is to deny the unity of God...ie it's base idolatry.

Some have gotten confused by scripture that actually refers to the Babylonian empire. The king of Babylon is described with similar traits as Satan.

Lucifer was the name of Satan before he got kicked out of Heaven. "Satan" means "adversary". Satan is also referred to as "the Dragon" and "the Serpent".

In the Book of Rev you will find several of his names listed.
He has many, many names. Each name can be tied to a specific role. ie; dragon in the first earth age; serpent in the garden, etc.
Lucifer means "bright and morning star". He copied that particular name from Christ, who is our bright star - our light.
When he is kicked out of Heaven down here to earth, he will be coming disgused and pretending to be Christ himself. he will be the fake, coming to deceive those who don't read Gods Word so that they know better.
anyway, if you want to know where he is called Lucifer, you will find him in Isaiah 14:12 where art thou fallen from heaven, o, lucifer,..etc etc.

The angels jointly with Lucifer were created to serve. Lucifer believed that God's transforming into people and that angels were to guard and serve people grow to be incorrect. God in His love is making an attempt to teach the devil that he's incorrect. That people deserve the privilege of being served by using angels. The Bible says that people are made a touch lower than the angels. we do no longer have their understanding or capacity, yet all of us recognize the thanks to love and no the position in Scripture does it let us know that angels can love. So people led to devil to be full of pride in himself. devil believes that he's more suitable efficient and knowledgeable than people and that he must be the inheritor to God and under no circumstances the servant. devil tries to teach this on a daily basis as he deceives people into following him fairly of following God.
